Hector Bellerin Could Miss The Remainder Of The Season

Arsenal could be set for a major setback as Hector Bellerin is believed to have suffered cruciate ligament damage and could have to spend the rest of the season on the sidelines.

The right back played a pivotal part in the 2-0 win over Chelsea at the Emirates but looked to be in severe pain following a tussle with Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso. The Spaniard had to be stretchered off from the pitch and it remains to be seen to what extent his knee has been damaged.

The Gunners have had a hard time when it comes to coping up without their star defenders as all the defenders including Nacho Monreal, Laurent Koscielny, Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi had suffered long term injuries in recent past.

The Gunners have widened the top four race with a win against Chelsea on Saturday. They are now just three points adrift of Chelsea who seem to be having a tough time maintaining their position.

Bellerin’s absence could be a big boost for Ainsley Maitland-Niles who is set to be handed a big role in the coming days. The youngster has played a number of matches this season and has shown of encouragements with his exciting display.
