Arsenal are among one of the clubs Adrien Rabiot would reportedly be happy to sign with after this season.
The Frenchman has only a couple more months left in his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and plenty of high profile sides have expressed interest in signing him.
Rabiot’s mother, Veronique Rabiot who is also his agent, has stated that her client is satisfied with joining Arsenal, Juventus or Inter Milan.
The midfielder’s wishes to leave PSG has caused a lot of drama at the Parc des Princes. Ideally, PSG would have like to keep Rabiot for a longer period and even offered him a contract.
Rabiot declined to sign and was immediately ousted from the club’s senior squad. The Ligue 1 champions banished the 24-year-old to the benches for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign.
Unai Emery, who previously managed the Parisians has seen his fair share of problems with Rabiot but the Arsenal boss did share praise when asked about the midfielder earlier this year.
With the Gunners about to lose Aaron Ramsey, finding a replacement for him is at the very top of their priority list. The only problem in finalising a deal with Rabiot has been his mammoth wage demands.
Due to a lack of transfer fees, the Frenchman has asked for an €8m-per-year deal along with a €10m fee for his agent and mother for arranging the deal.
Arsenal are already ruing the contract of Mesut Ozil, who has performed below par this season. They might be wary of handing out another one of those paralyzing deals to a controversial player.
