Arsenal defender, Laurent Koscielny is a person of serious interest for Lucien Favre’s Borussia Dortmund side.
The 33-year-old is almost set on leaving the Emirates this summer with only a year left in his contract. His defensive lapses has provoked the Gunners to try and cash in on him now so that funds can be raised for a younger replacement.
Koscielny has been a solid performer for Arsenal for the better half of the past decade but injuries started to hamper his game on a nightly basis. The Achilles tear was the biggest worry which ended up costing him a good part of the 2018/19 season.
Koscielny, a worn and beaten up veteran is still a fan favourite and will be warmly remembered for his service to the club. However, with Arsenal missing out on Champions League football the fourth season in a row, it might time for a change.
Dortmund’s need for an experienced star matches up perfectly with Unai Emery’s efforts to move the centre-half out of North London, along with his defensive partner, Shkodran Mustafi.
Arsenal are demanding around £10.6m for Koscielny which might be ridiculous at this point. They would not want to scare off the Bundesliga outfit and should pocket whatever they can get for him.
