The Italian midfielder signed for the North London club in January and has been a decent signing so far for the Gunners.
Jorginho was one of Arsenal’s best players against Chelsea on Wednesday evening and it was his fifth start since his move to the Emirates.
He maintained a 90% pass accuracy, a little ahead of Partey’s 88% average for the season.
His experience has been a calming influence in the heart of Arsenal’s midfield.
With the former Chelsea midfielder in the squad, Odegaard gets to do more by getting forward.
Ian Wright wants to see the 31-year-old more often in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
He said in his Wrighty’s House podcast: “Can I also say something about Jorginho?
“I really would like to see Jorginho play in the team regularly now.
“I’m sorry, the way he controls the game for us, him and [Oleksandr] Zinchenko in there as well, but then once it gets to [Martin] Odegaard, the man is like an artist, [it’s] beautiful.”
