Inter Milan are reportedly keeping close tabs on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Antonio Conte is aiming for a January switch for previous season’s Premier League Golden Boot winner.
Rumours have sparked off about Aubameyang’s future ever since the level of performance started to drop. Arsenal are 7 points off the mark with Wolves, Sheffield United and Tottenham ahead of them in the top four race.
There is a level of uncertainty surrounding the Gunners with Unai Emery fired and the board still looking to find a replacement. Freddie Ljungberg is expected to uplift squad morale but not guide the club back to a Champions League spot.
Aubameyang, who turned 30 in June is at the peak of his career and he would ideally like to move to a team who can promise trophies. Conte is plotting to give the forward an escape route next month while also upgrading Inter’s attacking strengths.
Aubameyang’s contract is set to run till June 2021 which makes it even more peculiar for him. Arsenal previously stated that players will be sold whoever has a contract below the two-year period. They took up this policy following the Aaron Ramsey disaster last summer.
Inter chiefs are closely following the Gabon forward’s situation. Arsenal cannot afford to lose their best player, however, if they want to return to being a top side in England.
