Inter had earlier shown persistent interest in Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu was likely to make a move to Italy in the summer. However, Inter Milan has pulled out from their pursuit of Takehiro Tomiyasu. The UCL runner-ups have shifted their focus to another Premier League defender.

The Serie A club has been actively seeking to secure the services of at least one player from Arsenal this season. Folarin Balogun was also their target.

Inter had shown persistent interest in Tomiyasu and appeared to be putting in considerable effort to acquire him. As reported by Calciomercato, they have now turned its attention to Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah. Chalobah is an alternative to Tomiyasu and admits that his inclusion in their squad would still bolster their team effectively.

The Japanese will be an important contributor to Arsenal’s season if he stays fit, so if we sell him, we must find a replacement and there might be no time to get this sorted.
