In a big transfer coup, Arsenal are very close to complete the signing of James Rodriguez from Bayern Munich if reports are to be believed.
The Columbian playmaker is currently spending a two year loan stint at the German club from his parent club Real Madrid. The playmaker is touted to leave Madrid for the German club but off late he hasn’t been able to recreate his form at the Allianz Arena.
Arsenal are on the lookout for some creative faces in the transfer market as Unai Emery is likely to strengthen his attacking department. The future of Mesut Ozil is uncertain although the German is unlikely to leave the club immediately.
According to some reports, the Gunners have had a £63m bid accepted for the Columbian. Rodriguez has struggled this time with injuries as he has made just 11 appearances in the Bundesliga this season but his talent is widely regarded.
Rodriguez’s arrival could make Ozil’s life difficult at the Emirates stadium. The highest paid player at the club is yet to make his mark this season and with the 27 year old Madrid man arriving at the North London club it remains to be seen how Emery plans to use him both in the team.
