Arsenal just sanctioned moves for William Saliba and Matteo Guendouzi, both to Marseille.
Now, they will shift their focus to the other names needed to be moved out.
Of course, Joe Willock created quite an impression while on his loan spell to Newcastle United. He scored in seven successive Premier League games to boost The Magpies’ hopes of survival. He got to express the areas at which he excels at, which is running in from deep and finishing chances of efficiently.
Many fans would like Arsenal to keep Willock but Mikel Arteta might move him on to fund other signings. Willock is now back at Arsenal and about to join pre-season training with the rest of the squad. Ex-Newcastle defender Steve Howey definitely wants United to make an attempt to sign the young Englishman.
“How many times have we seen big clubs loan out some of their young kids they’ve done all right but obviously gone back to their parent club and been massive?” Howey told This is Futbol.
“Harry Kane being one of them – he got loaned out a good few times. There’s loads of players that’s happened to.
“In a year’s time, if you do pick up Joe Willock for £25m, he could be worth £35m or £45m if he has a season which he had in the time that he was at Newcastle.”
