Paul Pogba may be suspended, thus Juventus is preparing a deal to capture Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey

Juventus had expressed interest in a deal to buy Partey during the summer transfer window, and they might do so again now that Paul Pogba has been temporarily suspended after it was determined that he had high amounts of testosterone in his system.

According to sources, if the 30-year-old is found guilty of doping, he may receive a lengthy penalty of two to four years in addition to Juventus terminating his contract. Pogba returned to Juventus from Manchester United on a free transfer in 2022, but he only made six Serie A games the previous year due to a major knee injury.

According to La Repubblica and Sky Sports, Juventus is ‘setting up’ Ghanaian international Partey as a potential replacement and may make an offer to sign him in January.

The Italian team reportedly reached a personal agreement with Partey during the summer transfer window and may return in the new year with a fresh strategy.

Partey has started three of Arsenal’s four Premier League games so far this season, but since Declan Rice joined the team from West Ham United, Partey has played in an unfamiliar right-back position.
