Aaron Ramsdale won’t join Arsenal this window according to Arsenal legend Kevin Campbell.

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell believes Arsenal won’t pay that much money for a keeper who will play second fiddle to Bernd Leno.

Sheffield United wants in excess of £30million for their star goalkeeper and Arsenal have already seen two offers rejected for the 23-year old keeper.

Chief executive Edu wants to bring some competition to Bernd Leno in between the sticks.

But Campbell believes his former club won’t pay so much money for a backup keeper.

“I can’t see Arsenal paying £30 million for a back-up goalkeeper,” Campbell said.

“Not in a month of Sundays. No chance.

“You can pay £30 million for a goalkeeper. But £30 million is a bit too heavy. I don’t think we are going for Ramsdale. I don’t honestly think that.

“What makes me say this is that there are better keepers out there that are cheaper.

“I don’t think it’s real. I don’t think Arsenal will spend £30 million on him.

“Listen, I might be wrong.”
