Manchester City are five points behind Arsenal in the Premier League table 2022/23.
The title race for Premier League has been crazy now. Manchester City got a chance to reduce the lead after Arsenal’s defeat but their loss to Tottenham made their task slightly difficult.
However, Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is still convinced that City can win the Premier League for the third consecutive time.
After Everton defeated the Gunners, fans expected City to beat Tottenham and close the gap between both clubs. But, story didn’t go in favour of the Sky Blues.
Walker believes it’s too early to rule them out and there are more points to play for. The England defender told Sky Sports: ‘Of course it is [a missed opportunity].
‘They dropped points and we needed to pick up points to close the gap, but there is still a lot of football to be played.’
Manchester City was not in the frame when they won the trophy in 2020/21. Man United and Liverpool were fighting for the glory but City came back to stun everyone by clinching the trophy. They will get a chance to reduce the margin when they will face Arsenal at Emirates soon.
