Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is thought to be most interested in a summer transfer to Arsenal, who have shown the most interest in the player

Sport Witness reports that Arsenal has been one of numerous teams interested in luring Milinkovic-Savic away from Lazio over the previous several seasons, and they currently appear to be in pole position to do so.

According to the source, the Serbian international’s asking price is now probably lower than it was before, when the Serie A giants might have been able to gain up to €100 million by selling him. Milinkovic-Savic previously turned down overtures from some of the finest clubs in Europe in favour of being loyal to Lazio, who after 20 games this season are currently fourth in Serie A.

Despite the fact that Jorginho only signed a one and a half year contract with Arsenal last week, the Gunners may have been thinking about the long term. Milinkovic-Savic, a Serbian powerhouse who is four years Jorginho’s junior at 27 years old, could be the ideal replacement for the Italian next summer.

Milinkovic-contract Savic’s with Lazio expires in 2024, but according to Sport Witness, his agent Mateja Kezman is eager to offload his client this summer so that Lazio won’t lose their star player to a free transfer the following year.

It will be interesting to see how much Lazio value Milinkovic-Savic at given that players like Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, and Moises Caicedo are all likely to leave their respective teams in the summer for significant sums of money. This is especially true given that Chelsea recently acquired Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for £105 million.
