Luton are exploring their options in terms of loan deals for the winter transfer window and allow Lokonga to leave.
Luton Town are planning to terminate the loan of Albert Sambi Lokonga from Arsenal during the winter transfer window. The Arsenal loanee hasn’t delivered any impact at the newly promoted Premier League club.
The 28-year-old failed to impress at Kenilworth Road after securing a temporary switch in the summer. He has appeared in just four top-flight matches for the Hatters. The Belgium international also faced a hamstring injury in September.
Lokonga came back this month after injury and featured against Man City and then also started against Bournemouth last weekend which was cancelled.
As per TEAMtalk, the Hatters are exploring their options in terms of loan deals for the winter transfer window. It means, he may return to the Emirates.
Luton Town have Marvelous Nakamba, Tahith Chong and Ross Barkley in the charge. They would look to sign a loan player in another position so they will send the Arsenal midfielder back to his parent club.
Lokonga joined the Gunners from Anderlecht in the summer of 2021 for £17.2m but has been unable to cement a place in Arteta’s first-team plans.
