Martinelli picks up another award for his recent performances

Gabriel Martinelli has been voted the Arsenal Player of the Month for January, meaning he has now won the award for two consecutive months.

After Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped from the Gunners’ first squad, the forward rose to prominence.

When the club returns to action following their training camp in Dubai, he is anticipated to continue playing on a regular basis.

Arsenal had a difficult January, scoring only once and being knocked out of the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

The club admits it was a poor month, but said Martinelli did his best to help the team.

He won the award ahead of Martin Odegaard and Ben White who came second and third

Despite not scoring as many goals as we would have liked, Martinelli shown class.

The attacker put in strong displays against Manchester City and Liverpool, and he is deserving of the prize.

Fans are now looking forward to a brighter month of February, with the former Ituano man expected to play a key part.

Wilshere also discussed his love for Martinelli and how he believes that the Brazilian can become a top player in world football.

He added: “The one who I really like and think he’s going to be top, is Martinelli.

“I think what the manager has done with him has been genius as well.
