Mesut Ozil has been backed to bounce back at Arsenal under Unai Emery despite how bleak the circumstances might look right now.

The German midfielder has fallen out of favour at Arsenal ever since Emery took over and his selection has been reduced to mere 2 games this season. However, former Turkish international, Hamit Altintop still has hope that Ozil could rediscover her form.

“His current situation at Arsenal is not good but this is part of life and his career. He worked hard for 10 years for his passion so I think he will come back.”

Speaking during an interview with Goal, the former Schalke, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid midfielder said, “Mesut is a good guy who has had an unbelievable career.

“He is always respectful and serious and that’s the base for a good sportsman. He’s a young man and he’s allowed to make mistakes. That’s important. His current situation at Arsenal is not good but this is part of life and his career. He worked hard for 10 years for his passion so I think he will come back.”

While his peers might still have hope for him, Arsenal seems to have given up on Ozil. Reports are constantly emerging about the Gunners looking for vendors to loan him out to.

Sources claim Fenerbahce made an offer and Arsenal agreed to pay a part of Ozil’s wages just to conclude the deal.
