Mikel Arteta assures Arsenal won’t give up on the title race.
The Gunners witnessed an embarrassing 4-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City last night at the Etihad.
They saw their lead cut to only two points and will have to win the five remaining games to be in the title race.
Arsenal have seemed to have thrown the door open for Guardiola’s men and will have to rely on other teams for results.
Mikel Arteta admitted that the better side won last night and could have conceded more goals.
“We were beaten by a better team. They were exceptional today and when that’s the case it’s extremely difficult to reach that level and we were nowhere near,” he told BT Sport.
“We were punished and we could have been even more punished. We’re not going to give up. There are five games to go in this league, anything can happen.”
At this age, if Arsenal wins their five remaining games it won’t be enough for them to clinch the Premier League crown from the title-holders Manchester City.
