Mikel Arteta wants to give Saliba a chance to prove himself in the summer.
The French centre-back was loaned to OGC Nice in the January transfer window and has played 20 games for the French side across all competitions.
Arsenal defender David Luiz is set to leave the North London club in the summer when his contract expires.
According to reports, Mikel Arteta has decided to give Saliba one more chance to prove himself.
The Frenchman who was signed back in 2019 is yet to play a game for the Gunners.
Arteta said in February: “He will come back for pre-season and he will be with us.
“Hopefully he will come back after playing a number of games and his performance raising and his development progressing in the right way. That’s why we made that decision.
“I know that sometimes it’s difficult to explain or understand after the money that the club has spent trying to bring him in, to send him on loan.”
