Mikel Arteta refuses to comment on Gabriel Jesus’ transfer to Arsenal in the summer.

The Brazilian forward is expected to leave the Emirates in the summer window after City announced the signing of Erling Haaland.

The Gunners are huge favourites to sign the 25-year-old who has scored eight league goals this season.

Arsenal themselves are in dire need of a striker as both Lacazatte and Nketiah are expected to leave this summer.

The North London club has secured Champions League qualification for next year and the club as already contacted the Brazilian as confirmed by his agent Marcelo Pettinati.

“We had talks with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus, we like the project – it’s a possibility we’re discussing,” said Pettinati, according to Fabrizio Romano.

“There are six more clubs interested in Gabriel – he’s focused on final games with Man City, we’ll see.”

But the manager has refused to comment on the transfer speculation.

Both the manager and player has worked previously when the former was an assistant coach alongside Guardiola at City.

“I don’t talk about any players that are not with us,” said Arteta.
