Arsenal are still looking to move out players by the end of this transfer window.
With just over a week left, Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar still have much of the deadwood to remove from the Emirates.
Lucas Torreira just completed his loan move to Fiorentina but otherwise, there is still a long list of unnecessary names. Sead Kolasinac is in talks to move out to Fenerbahce permanently. Eddie Nketiah is attracting attention from Crystal Palace. Hector Bellerin, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson, Willian and Mohamed Elneny are need to be sold as well.
“I don’t know what will happen [in the transfer window]. A few days to go. Some exits are planned,” Arteta said.
“We know what we will face on the weekend [away to Manchester City] will be a different game.”
Arteta has been heavily backed this summer with transfers rounding up to over £125m. Would that be sufficient to get this team back into winning ways? That is unclear based on the start to the campaign. Arsenal looks like they are still in transition despite the incomings.
Perhaps, leaning down the squad will better help with further acquisitons that Arteta might have planned for the final few days.
