Mikel Arteta is struggling with wins at Arsenal.

The Gunners are yet to register a win in the Premier League this campaign after losing out to Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City in their first three league games.

Man City humiliated Arteta’s team by beating them 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal has spent over £156m this summer window on Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Nuno Tavares.

“I know he works hard, and I know he is trying to improve the players, and I am not saying he is clueless, but he does not seem like he has really nailed down what he is trying to do, or what his first eleven is,” Murphy said on TalkSPORT.

“Last season, at times it looked like Arteta was still guessing about what his best eleven was and what tactical plan he was going to have.

“This patience he wants the fans to have and this plan he has is all well and good if you can see some progression in what they are trying to do.”
