Philippe Coutinho is not the right man for Mikel Arteta.
The 28-year old midfielder has regressed overtime during his loan stint at Bayern Munich and his time at Barcelona.
The former Liverpool star has lost his way somewhat since joining the Catalan giants.
Former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn has warned Mikel Arteta to not pursue a move for Philippe Coutinho this summer.
He told Goal: “I wouldn’t go down that line, we’ve got a lot of young talent coming through.
“Unless he would be on the right wages or if there was a way to fit him in then it could be an option.
“It’s been touted around so much I don’t believe it’ll happen.
“Coutinho was very good at Liverpool, but since then I’ve not been impressed and I’m not convinced by it.”
