Andre Silva is on Arsenal’s summer shortlist.

The Gunners will be looking to bolster their attacking options after a horrendous last season where they finished eighth in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta will be looking for the right kind of players to make the squad more competitive.

Lacazette who scored 17 goals last season in all competitions just has one year left on his contract.

A departure seems for likely for the Frenchman and Arsenal would love to get a decent fee for him.

Andre Silva impressed for Eintracht Frankfurt last season as he finished second in the Bundesliga goalscoring table just behind Robert Lewandowski.

Dunny Castles believes Arsenal could make an attempt to sign the 25-year old Portuguese striker.

“Frankfurt are asking for £34.35m for the player. There is an expectation that that won’t be achieved, and that they will be forced to sell him for less money,” Castles said.

“Leipzig certainly don’t want to pay that. Arsenal have expressed their interest and have done a lot of propriety work on this deal.

“They have told Andre Silva that they need to sell before they can bring him in. But they want to do that deal. And the player they have targeted sell is Alexandre Lacazette.”
