Mohamed Elyounoussi emerges as potential transfer target for Arsenal

Mohamed Elyounoussi’s contract will expire at St Mary’s in June 2023.

Southampton attacker Mohamed Elyounoussi has reportedly become a transfer target for Arsenal. The Norway international has been in impressive form for Southampton at the start of the 2021-22 campaign. He has scored four goals and provided two assists in seven appearances in all competitions for the Saints.

Elyounoussi has scored three times in his last four appearances for Norway. He scored a brace against Montenegro in a World Cup qualifier on October 11.

The 27-year-old player’s contract will expire at St Mary’s in June 2023. According to the Daily Record, Mikel Arteta‘s side is keeping a close eye on the attacker’s form.

The report also adds that Arsenal views Elyounoussi as a potential low-cost signing in the current market. Arsenal could face a tough time with Leicester City. The Norwegian earlier impressed during a two-year loan spell at Celtic before returning to St Mary’s.

Elyounoussi has scored three times in his last four appearances for his country, meanwhile, including a brace against Montenegro in a World Cup qualifier on October 11.
