Aaron Ramsdale has struggled for game time at Arsenal this season.

David Raya who joined Arsenal on loan from Brentford this summer has been Mikel Arteta’s No.1 goalkeeper.

The Spaniard has put in another poor performance in the loss against Newcastle United over the weekend.

Many fans and pundits have questioned the goalkeeper’s performance in the last few weeks and Arteta’s decision to replace him as the club’s first-choice keeper.

Aaron Ramsdale looks unsettled at the Emirates and there were reports of him leaving the Gunners in the January transfer window.

Long-time Arsenal fan Piers Morgan urges Arteta to bring Aaron Ramsdale back into the first-team.

“I still don’t get the [David] Raya thing in goal,” Morgan told talkSPORT.

“On the goal that should never have been allowed, he made yet another cock-up.

“Aaron Ramsdale is watching week after week. Is Raya showing anyone he is an upgrade from Ramsdale? I don’t think he is.

“I think unfortunately all the pressure was created entirely by Arteta, who said he was going to have two number ones.

“Personally, I would bring back Ramsdale with a point to prove. I think he is a better goalkeeper.”
