It has been revealed how much Ajax winger, David Neres will cost this summer and it might not be the best of news for Arsenal.
The Gunners are expected to have a very modest budget for the upcoming transfer window with Unai Emery expected to raise more funds through the sale of non-essential personnel.
The Brazilian winger who did not take part in Ajax’s second leg dismissal against Tottenham Hotspur last night will reportedly cost around €40m. That might just be fitting for a young player who has played a major part in his team’s rise in the Champions League.
Neres, still only 23 years old, has slotted in 12 goals in 50 appearances this campaign while also setting up 15 assists. He earned his cap for the Brazil national side in March, making his debut against the Czech Republic.
A Dutch news outlet reported, “Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are in the race for the signature of David Neres. The Brazilian attacker of Ajax must cost more than 40 million euros.” The original report was posted by The Sun.
Chelsea’s transfer ban just got confirmed by FIFA yesterday after their appeal got denied. Hence, they are not expected to be much of a threat but the Reds could rival Arsenal’s interests with a bid of their own.
