PSG Ready To Sell Layvin Kurzawa To Arsenal

The Telegraph has come out with a fresh report claimign PSG are open to let go of Layvin Kurzawa for €5m this month.

Arsenal are looking to add to their defensive ranks as the injury crisis grows worse.

Mikel Arteta only has one healthy fullback in Hector Bellerin who played his first game after months against Chelsea. Bukayo Saka has performed well as a makeshift option on the left but he cannot be depended upon for the remainder of the season. The 18-year-old is only developing his game and is naturally suited to a more offensive role.

The Gunners have intiated contract talks with Kurzawa himself, according to BBC journalist, David Ornstein. Even PSG director, Leonardo Jardim admitted that Arsenal have not directly approached the club yet.

The Ligue 1 champions are holding out for a fee in the region of €5m-€10m but Arsenal could easily acquire him for free next summer. The problem lies in Arteta’s immediate needs. No doubt the Spanish coach has shown improvements upon his arrival at the Emirates but he will need a little bit of help if he is see the team through their seasonal objectives.

A top-four finish might be have been ruled out by many but winning the FA Cup and the Europa League is still a possibility for Arsenal, one way for them to return to Champions League football. Will the Gunners be able to squeeze out this tiny sum for at least one January additions, remains to be seen.
