Arsenal told to bolster their striking lineup by the end of January transfer window.

The Gunners have signed Gabriel Jesus in the summer from Manchester City who is currently recovering from his knee injury.

He injured his knee in Brazil’s final group game against Cameroon at the World Cup and is expected to be out for three months.

Eddie Nketiah is now the main man and Arsenal definitely needs a striker before the transfer deadline approaches.

The Englishman has definitely impressed in Jesus’ absence but the club should look for a new number nine in order to secure the Premier League trophy.

West Ham legend Frank McAvennie has urged Arteta to sign a different type of striker who can pair up with the now-injured Gabriel Jesus upon his return.

He tells Football Insider: “I think if Arsenal get a brilliant out -and-out striker, that is what they need.

“Jesus could play off any decent striker. That would be a match made in heaven. Jesus is a good player. I get that he is not an out and out striker but he is not doing too bad.

“If they got a striker in Arsenal would be scoring more goals, and they are already scoring quite a few without an out and out striker.”
