Arsenal’s loan for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos last season was a hit.
The Spanish midfielder had failed to make the cut at Real Madrid. He was young and ambitious and hence sought a loan. Arsenal swooped in for him and signed him on a loan fee.
He had an interesting first season as he settled in quickly but was soon ruled out by an injury. He came back from the injury but did not play as well as before.
The player’s luck faced further scrutiny as he soon found Unai Emery sacked and was replaced by Mikel Arteta. The new boss did not favor starting with Ceballos initially and the Real loanee found himself on the benches.
However, as the season progressed, the player was soon found to be an integral part of Arteta’s newfound side. He has now been deemed important to the Gunners and they have tried to now renew the deal for the player for another season of loan.
However, Real Madrid it seems to have passed their verdict to bring Ceballos back to Madrid and refused to loan him out again.
The player is important to the club this season at Real as the club are looking to revamp their aging midfielders.
