Arsenal legend, Tony Adams thinks it is Unai Emery’s time to go.
The former Gunners captain was greatly disappointed with the team’s performance last night against Southampton.
He told BT Sport, “I’m just smashed to bits with the performance. At one point Ozil was sweeper, getting the ball off his keeper and trying to run it through everybody. The boos are deserved – it was a terrible, terrible performance, very disjointed, no defending in sight.
“That’s a really poor performance and I don’t want any coach losing his job, but the club’s not going forward, it’s not progressing. I can put a team together that’s more organised than that!”
He added, “They’re all sleeping, look at Luiz here. What is Luiz doing? He’s just standing there.”
Arsenal have won just 2 of their last 11 Premier League games and Unai Emery is defiant that his side can do better.
“I know that we need to connect with our supporters,” he said after the Emirates showdown. “The club are supporting me every day and also I have a responsibility. I know I can do better, I can take more performances with the players and I’m going to try to do that. It’s difficult but we need to move on in the next days.”
