Unai Emery Reveals Arsenal Are Working On January Transfers

After Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, Unai Emery stated that the Gunners are trying to use this window to add necessary talents.

A lacklustre performance from the North London outfit saw them drop 6 points behind Chelsea in the race for a top-four spot. Emery has previously revealed that permanent transfers are not possible as funds have not been provided to him by the Arsenal hierarchy.

However, the Spaniard will be even more motivated to pursue his targets this month after last night’s result. Speaking to the press after the loss, Emery was quoted, “This afternoon is a bad result for us. We created chances but did not control the game as we wanted. We tried for the reaction after the goal, but could not be efficient to create a goal. We need more, to recover our play.

“We need to be competitive home and away, where we are not taking the result like we want. We must do more to impose our idea but also respect to them for their performance. If we can be better over the 90 minutes and competitive with quality, then we can do (it), but all the things were against us today.”

“We need to continue working, taking confidence. We have the players to continue our way, the club is working (on new signings), but I am happy with the players and we need everybody also to continue after this bad result.”
