Former Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is determined to return to management.
The Frenchman took over at the English club in the mid nineties and stayed at North London for over two decades. In his time at Arsenal, he won major trophies, went unbeaten for a whole season in the league and introduced England to a new sophisticated style of football.
However, towards his later years, his impact fell short and Arsenal wavered away from a winning club to a giant of the past. It was time for a new direction and Wenger bid an emotional goodbye to the club he had so dearly developed in the last two decades.
Now, a retired man, he has revealed his desire to get back to coaching again, somewhere else.
“I cannot live today with the fact I will never be on the bench again. I might go for an intermediate position,” Wenger told BeIN Sports.
“What I want for sure is to share what I know and what I’ve learned as much as I can. I would like to experience for one last time the intensity of competition.
“I had a reluctance to go back into the heat again but it was difficult to say no to some people.”
