What Troy Deeney Told The Arsenal Manager After Facing Red Card

Watford forward, Troy Deeney was noticed speaking out vulgar words when leaving the pitch after picking up a red card.

The Gunners collected a 0-1 away victory over Watford on Monday and one of the sole reasons for the Hornets’ loss was the striker’s sending off. Deeney elbowed Lucas Torreira in the face while trying to win the ball in midfield.

The referee decided to go by the book and handed him a straight red even though it looked like a soft challenge. Deeney understandably was not too happy with the decision and exchanged a few words with the Arsenal boss before heading into the tunnels.

“He’s a f****** p****,” the 30-year-old appeared to say. “I’ve ran past him.”

Former Arsenal striker, Alan Smith spoke while on air, “Well he’s so much bigger than Torreira, sometimes you just try and arm off your opponent and you catch them in the face accidentally.

“But if it was a deliberate elbow that’s a different matter entirely. It’s a little swipe of the arm, something he did not need to do. Just letting his man know he’s there but it’s a silly challenge. Craig Pawson had a little chat with the linesman who might have helped him.”
