Why Jack Grealish Would Be An Ideal Fit At Arsenal

Arsenal are being urged to sign Aston Villa midfielder, Jack Grealish.

Even Gunners legend, Robert Pires has recognized the midfielder’s talents, comparing him to the great Denis Bergkamp.

“Jack is a great footballer with a good technique – and I love watching him play because he reminds me of Dennis Bergkamp,” Pires said. “I like to see him playing in the same position as Dennis, as a No.10.

“He has great vision, he isn’t a selfish player because he always wants to do what is best for the team, and I think he has a great future. I don’t want to put too much pressure on Jack because he is still a young player learning the game and Dennis was an incredible talent and a champion.”

Grealish has scored 6 goals this Premier League campaign and laid out a further 7 assists. That is the most by an Englishman in the top-flight. Aston Villa who are fighting relegation will find it hard to hold onto the 24-year-old beyond this season.

Arteta will need to revamp this Arsenal squad to improve results next season, starting with his creative talent. Mesut Ozil is well beyond his prime years and no matter how much support you offer him, the German simply won’t produce more than a couple assists or goals in ever 20 games.

Arteta’s game dictates more possession in the opposition half and he cannot achieve that with just the current crop of players. Arsenal are also aiming to bring in Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
