Ansu Fati, a star for Barcelona, is “very unlikely” to move to Arsenal this summer

The 20-year-old experienced serious injury issues in 2021–2022, but is now healthy and on fire in La Liga, which has sparked high-profile interest in his services. Recently, noted journalist Fabrizio Romano stated on Twitter that Arsenal is “monitoring” Fati’s position in preparation for a possible summer move to sign the forward.

The Spanish international is also “fully informed” about by Manchester United and Liverpool, the Gunners’ Premier League rivals, potentially igniting a transfer tug-of-war for his signing. Recently, Bayern Munich has also been rumoured to be interested in signing Fati, but they are ‘currently not working’ on a deal.

In his Barcelona contract, the young player from Bissau has a €1 billion (£882.6 million) release clause. Marcal Lorente, a journalist for Mundo Deportivo, asserted earlier this year that Fati might be offered for as little as £62 million (€70 million).

Following a protracted period of recuperation from numerous injuries, Fati has reestablished himself at Barcelona and, according to Transfermarkt, had made a contribution with six goals and three assists from 31 appearances as of this past weekend.

Additionally, according to FBRef, the 20-year-old took part in 35 shot-creating activities in 2022–2023, highlighting Fati’s consistent capacity to open doors for himself or others. The Spaniard, who has faced numerous obstacles since breaking onto the scene at Camp Nou back in 2019, has the impression that his best is yet to come.
