Arsenal Board To Sanction €22.5m Deal For Real Madrid Ace

According to the latest reports, Unai Emery has asked the Arsenal board to pay up €22.5m for Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez.

Despite being heavily involved during Zinedine Zidane’s first stint as the Galactico manager, the 27-year-old is about to be forced out of the Frenchman’s squad, owing to the latest arrivals.

Real already have a talented prodigy in Vinicius Junior and they recently acquired Eden Hazard and Rodrygo Goes. Don Balon reports that Vazquez is ready to be shipped out of the Santiago Bernabeu for a €30m fee.

It seems like Arsenal’s hands are tied this transfer window with the funds they currently have at their disposal. You do not get many world-class names with £40-45m and Unai Emery has to improve the entire squad with just that amount of cash.

Vazquez’s name has gotten linked with the Gunners before when he was valued even higher at €40m. Now, that the Galacticos are desperate to get rid of him, Arsenal do have a chance of drawing the price down a bit.

Vazquez has been a solid utility player for the La Liga giant since 2015. He is not the most prolific player on the pitch but he definitely delivers with what is required of a traditional winger.

The Spaniard is fast, well balanced and is highly unselfish. He could be the final piece to Arsenal’s attacking puzzle with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette filling up the striker ranks.
