Arsenal are hoping to beat Tottenham in the race for the signing of Bournemouth player Ryan Fraser.

The 26-year-old winger has attracted the attention of clubs in North London and will almost certainly make a transfer this summer.

Fraser will be a free agent at the end of the season and will probably not stay at the Vitality because he is interested in much bigger clubs than Bournemouth. The previous campaign, by contrast, the Scotland international had managed seven goals and 14 assists in 38 matches.

That sparked interest from Arsenal under Unai Emery, with the north Londoners having been tipped to make a £30million swoop for the Scot a year ago.

The Spaniard instead signed Nicolas Pepe from Lille for £72m – but the interest in Fraser has not faded even though there has been a managerial change, with Mikel Arteta now in charge.

And the Daily Mail say that Arsenal are confident that they are the front-runners to sign the former Aberdeen wide-man.
