Arsenal Determined To Retain Their Prized Asset Despite Interests From Chinese Club

Arsenal are very keen to retain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang despite interests from Chinese clubs.

Aubameyang’s performance has been one of the shining lights what otherwise has been a disappointing season for the Gunners. In his first full season for his club the 29 year old has found the net 22 times in the Premier League.

His goal scoring charts has fuelled interests among club and a number of Chinese Super League outfits are believed to be interested in securing his service. The Gabon international had almost finalized his move to China as Tianjin Quanjin agreed to a massive £71m fee for the player with his former club Borussia Dortmund.

But the Chinese club was unlucky as the deal failed to materialize and six months later he went on to arrive to Arsenal. The interested parties are expected to renew their interest this summer and Unai Emery is very keen to have the player at his disposal for the next season.

The player currently pockets a hefty £190,000 a week and the clubs could open negotiations with his entourage regarding a new deal to ensure the player’s loyalty. Keeping Alexandre Lacazette and Aubameyang would be very important for the next campaign as the North Londoners are expected to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
