In the wake of the January transfer window, Nabil Fekir has dropped a massive hint over his future. The Frenchman has drawn strong links with Chelsea and Real Madrid but his comments has brought Arsenal into the mix as well.

According to football journalist, Matt Spiro a surprise move to the Gunners should be strongly contemplated because of his close relationship with Alexandre Lacazette. He had previously tweeted, “Real Madrid considering January move for Lyon captain Nabil Fekir, according to Marca.”

“Chelsea still interested. When I spoke to Fekir earlier this month, he told me the guy he’s most enjoyed playing with in his career is Alexandre Lacazette.”

“Just putting that out there…”

Nabil Fekir plies his trade for Ligue 1 outfit, Olympique Lyonnais and came inches away from making a permanent transfer to Liverpool. Both sides had agreed to a £54m trade but the move fell through in the final minutes based on injury concerns.

With the 25-year-old still showcasing his obvious talents this season, scoring 7 goals in 17 appearances for Lyon, he is still being sought out by top European sides.

Arsenal are rumoured to be facing internal issues with Mesut Ozil. The German is the club’s highest paid player but is not performing up to the standards of Unai Emery. He was taken off in the second half of the 1-1 Boxing Day draw against Brighton and Hove Albion as well due to a lack of impact on the offensive end.

Should the 30-year-old quit the Emirates past this season, it could open up the door for a marquee attacking midfielder such as Fekir.
