Arsenal Make Valencia Custodian A Contract Offer

Arsenal have contacted Valencia goalkeeper, Norberto Murara for a possible transfer to the Emirates this summer.

Petr Cech is about to hang up his boots after the Europa League final on 29th May and the Gunners are looking for an able number 2.

Bernd Leno is no doubt the starting choice after the heroics he showed in front of his own goal line this season. The German has fit into this Arsenal side perfectly since his £19m switch from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.

Plaza Deportiva claims that Unai Emery is a fan of the Valencia shot-stopper and has already forwarded a contract offer after speaking with the player’s representatives.

Murara, 29 is reportedly unhappy with the wages that Gunners are willing to pay him. He believes he is far more valuable than the terms offered to him by the North London outfit.

The Spanish custodian has also taken issue with Arsenal’s place in Europe. With a 5th place finish, the Gunners still cannot guarantee Champions League football whereas Valencia can after grabbing the 4th spot in the La Liga.

Emery will wait and see if he can come to an agreement with Murara but he could also move for some of the other keepers in his shortlist. Reports suggest that the Spaniard is looking into Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas.
