Arsenal open to offers for winger Reiss Nelson

Arsenal will entertain loan bids for Reiss Nelson in January.

The club academy graduate penned a new four-year deal in the summer to extend his stay at his boyhood club.

He has been with Arsenal since the age of eight and has previously enjoyed loan spells at Hoffenheim and Feyenoord.

Nelson registered three goals and three assists in 18 competitive appearances last season and signed a new contract until the summer of 2027.

This season the winger has featured for only 102 minutes of Premier League action and managed only nine appearances.

He is unable to force his way into Mikel Arteta’s XI and a loan move would therefore enable Nelson to gain more minutes elsewhere.

The England international could be allowed to leave on loan as Arsenal are reluctant to sanction a permanent exit.

If Arsenal doesn’t sign a new forward, it absolutely makes no sense for the club to let Reiss Nelson leave on loan.

There have been heavy reports of Arsenal singing a striker and also possibly a winger in this January transfer window.

Nelson has reportedly attracted interest from a few Premier League clubs and also some clubs across Europe.
