Manchester City suspect Arsenal!

Well we do not get to hear that everyday. What have the Gunners done and why does City think, Arsenal are the culprits?

Manchester City were banned from participating in European football for the next two seasons plus given a £25m fine for breaking the Financial Fair Play rules by UEFA earlier this year.

City complained to CAS, the highest governing body of sport. However, due to the outbreak of the novel CoVID-19, the case might drag on till summer in which case City were planning to plead to suspend their expulsion from Europe to CAS until such time the case was not resolved.

However, in a bid to stop City from gaining unfari grounds, several Champions League spot contenders in the Premier League wrote a letter to CAS, citing their reasons why City’s ban should be upheld.

The clubs involved are Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Burnley and surprisingly Liverpool as well!

City officials are reportedly furious at the ganging up of the clubs and believe that Arsenal was at the helm of this idea. Exactly what City plans to do or even can do remains unclear as it is currently no one’s concern if a bunch of rich oil owners get to stroke their ego next season or not – given the state of the world.
