Arsenal should have no problem selling Kieran Tierney

Arsenal could get the right price for Kieran Tierney.

The Gunners have signed Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer in order to provide options in their left-back position.

Injury-prone Kieran Tierney is one of the finest players in that position but it seems Zinchenko has become the club’s first-choice.

There have been rumours that Man City are targetting the Scottish defender but are yet to place a formal bid for the former Celtic defender.

He missed Arsenal’s pre-season due to an injury and was frustrated to sit on the sidelines again.

Man City are closing on a deal to sign Sergio Gomez from Anderlecht for an initial £11million fee.

“I don’t think there’d be any harm if Arsenal were to sell him,” Whelan told Football Insider.

“They’ve made it abundantly clear that Zinchenko is their first choice, hence why he started against Palace with Tierney on the bench.”

Adding: “If they can get the right price from City, then I guess it’s a no-brainer.

“They can set the price at whatever they want – and it’s a price you might not get for him next season.”
