Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar both share the view that Magalhaes is a key player for Arsenal.

Gabriel Magalhaes admits it was nice to hear of interest from Juventus but he’s fully committed to Arsenal and happy with the club. It means the centre-back is not leaving the club.

For the most part, the defender haven’t had to deal with too much exit speculation surrounding their key players this summer. The Gunners haven’t received many bids for starters, but there have been repeated reports of interest in Gabriel Magalhaes.

Gabriel Magalhaes has been a key member of Arsenal’s side for a couple of years now, and that’s drawn the eyes of Serie A giants.

CBS Sports and The Telegraph reported in July that Juventus wanted to sign the Arsenal centre-back, but added that Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar both share the view that Gabriel is a key player for Arsenal.

“It’s always nice to get that recognition but I’m really focused on Arsenal,” Gabriel said.

“I am very happy here. I’ve got a good relationship with my teammates and I am fully committed to the project.

“I am convinced that, with the project we have, we can achieve a lot.”

Gabriel made 39 appearances for Arsenal last season, only missing games when either he was injured or it was the early rounds of the cup competitions.
