Arsenal to battle Man United for Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel in summer

Mathys Tel penned a five-year contract at Bayern Munich.

Arsenal are looking to have a battle with Man United for the signature of Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel during this summer’s transfer window.

The young talent has spent the latter stages of his youth career at Rennes before progressing to the first team. He made his debut in 2021 for the French club. Later, he moved to Bayern in the summer of 2022.

Tel penned a five-year contract at Allianz Arena, and he has represented the Bundesliga giants on 56 occasions, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists in the process.

Man United are also linked with this young talent. He also scored against the Red Devils during the Champions League this season. As per Bild, Arsenal are also in the race to get the signature of this player.

The Frenchman has netted three goals and three assists in 18 Bundesliga appearances this season. He has also contributed two goals and one assist in seven Champions League matches.

Tel’s agent, Gadiri Camara, refused to rule out a summer move for his client in a recent interview. He said while talking to Bild, “Mathys loves the club, the fans, he wants to be important and win all the trophies here with a strong team.”

“Sometimes you just need to feel like you’re on the same path. We’ll see very soon, but I’m confident. But if not, we have to consider all options because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player.”
