James Maddison’s transfer window is closing quickly for Arsenal, as Newcastle United now holds the top spot in the market

Tavares coming to Arsenal and playing a role next season are improbable given Mikel Arteta’s current strong preferences for Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior, so this is definitely a rumour to keep an eye on.
Newcastle can provide Maddison with the same level of competition he would find at Arsenal now that they have clinched their return to the Champions League. Newcastle’s interest in Maddison should be taken seriously, and if we want to sign him as one of the best players available, we must move quickly.
