Manchester and Juventus were also interested in the goalkeeper

Arsenal are expected to have a busy transfer window after an underwhelming Premier League campaign this season. Unai Emery will replace Arsene Wenger next season and they have completed their first summer signing.

Gunners have signed Estonian teen Karl Jacob Hein. They have beaten competition from the likes of Juventus, Manchester United, Southampton and Brighton. The player even had trials at Turin side and Ingolstadt.

The 16 year old has already made five appearances for Nomme United in the Esiliiga B and has eight caps for Estonia U17s.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Mart Poom who heads Hein’s youth team, has been advising him and believes he can play for the first team.

“The first year is about academic education,” Poom told Postimees Sport .

“Two years later, he will be able to play at U18 level, and then he will be in the U23s. Then it depends on him. We hope he will reach the first team. That’s definitely very difficult, but not impossible.

“It might be said that he joined Arsenal because of me, but this great decision was made by the boy with his family. Each club had certain advantages and disadvantages. I did not put pressure on him to choose Arsenal, but I promised to support him, no matter what decision he made.

“It was, of course, difficult to choose, because this is an extraordinary opportunity for an Estonian these are all three top league clubs, all of which should be very good football education. Arsenal offers him very good conditions for development.

“The small advantage with Arsenal is that I know the people there and in the academy. I can keep an eye on him and advise him if necessary.

“He is talented, hardworking, has the right attitude, a supportive family and big dreams,” he said. “From a physical perspective, he has everything to reach the top. Of course, he must put in a tremendous amount of work for this, to stay healthy and also need some luck.”

The Spaniard has been tipped as favorite to replace Arsene Wenger

With the 2017-2018 Premier League campaign over, Arsene Wenger will leave Arsenal  after managing the club for 22 years. During his reign, he has won 10 major trophies with the club which includes seven FA Cups and three Premier League.

The Gunners now face the mammoth task of replacing the Frenchman and are already looking at potential candidates. A list of potential candidates includes proven winners, such as Luis Enrique, Unai Emery, Joachim Low, Julian Nagelsmann, Carlo Ancelloti and Massimiliano Allegri, and a number of former favorites like Mikel Arteta, Patrick Viera and Thiery Henry.

Arteta has emerged as the overwhelming favorite to take over from his former boss, despite having never managed before. The Premier League giants signed the Spaniard from Everton in 2011, who hanged his playing boots two years ago. He is now serving as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City.

Even Wenger has backed the Spaniard to manage Arsenal and believes his lack of experience should not be counted against him.

The former Gunners midfielder is in the process of finalizing negotiations on a deal to become manager, which includes power over transfers and his own backroom staff.

Arteta wants a big say in who will the club sign and the power to veto recommendations from the club’s recruitment department, the Daily Mail claims. He wants to be able to put his own stamp on things should he take over at the Emirates.

He will be given a limited budget than Wenger but it could increase with the sales of few players. Aaron Ramsey and Hector Bellerin both have been heavily linked with a summer exit and their sales would give him additional funds.

Arsenal midfielder’s Jack Wilshere has been linked with a summer exit as he is yet to commit to a new contract at the Emirates Stadium. His contract will expire at the end of the season and likely to leave the club on a free transfer.

Wilshere, who has been at the club since 9, has made it clear that his preferred option is to stay at his boyhood club. Even Arsene Wenger has expressed his desire to keep him at the club beyond this season

The Gunners have offered him £90,000-a-week, which is a pay-cut on his current deal worth £110,000-a-week but is unhappy with the incentivised deal being offered.

The club have been in talks with him over fresh terms for past few months but they have yet to reach any agreement till now.

The 26 year old has been linked with host of clubs ahead of the transfer window as they are looking to take advantage of the situation and sign him on a free transfer. His representatives have already started started looking for potential suitors.

Jack Wilshere’s representatives have offered their client’s services to Paris Saint-Germain, l’Equipe claims. They have directly contacted club’s sports director Antero Henrique.

The World cup is approaching and the sides will be hoping to get all the deals done before the event begins. Ligue 1 giants are also expected to bolster their side this summer and will be looking to get the deals done as quickly as possible.

Arsenal dealt blow in pursuit of Piotr Zielinski

The midfielder has been one of the stars for the club this season

Arsenal are expected to overhaul their squad this summer after a poor Premier League campaign this season. They are currently at 6th position in the Premier League and will miss the Champions League next season, after getting eliminated from Europa League by Atletico Madrid last week.

With Arsene Wenger set to leave the club at the end of the season, the Gunners are looking to add recruitment both off and on the field in the transfer window.

One of the priorities for the club is to bolster their midfield, as the futures of Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla are still unsure and likes of Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny have struggled to make an impact. The Premier League could move for Serie A ace.

Arsenal are interested in signing Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski, according to Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno. They, according to the Italian outlet, are willing to spend as much as €65 million for the player, the exact value of his release clause.

The polish midfielder has been one of the stars of the club’s fine Serie A campaign this season, scoring seven goals in all competitions for the club. The midfielder is known for his good technique and high intensity play.

The 23 year old has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League and there are suggestions that the Gunners are considering taking him to England in the ongoing window.

But the Serie A giants are set to ward off interest from Arsenal for Zielinski as he is close to agreeing a new five year contract extension with them. It will lead to a significant increase in his wages.

But more importantly for Napoli, the new deal will eliminate the problematic release clause, providing more control to the club when it comes to the midfielder’s future.
