Following his departure, former manager isn’t really sure about a return to the club. Arsene Wenger left the club after the 2017-18 campaign and he says that he has been in contact with come club members.

Wenger said: “I have been in touch with some people at the club but I felt when you go like that you cannot be half in, half out,” (quoted by Metro)

Frenchman was associated with Arsenal for 22 years, but during his last years at the club, he was subject to heavy criticism. Wenger hasn’t even returned to watch a game at The Emirates since his departure.

He explains, “You let people who come in work their way. And I wanted to take a complete distance. It’s still a bit early, maybe, to go back. I haven’t been back at the club.”

Arsene said that he isn’t in a hurry to make a return to management, “What happened is that I took a distance a little bit. I was realising that I lived like somebody in a coma for 35 years who woke up and saw something different in life than just my club, my game and my work.”

“So I thought maybe I have to analyse that and take a little bit longer distance. ‘I was tempted and as well a little bit afraid to dive back into it straight away.”

Arsene in his 22 years at the club won three Premier League titles and 7 FA Cups. There were talks about him joining the club in a different role in future, but Wenger’ response and his reluctance goes against that popular notion.
