Barcelona Will Sanction Denis Suarez Loan To Arsenal But Conditionally

Arsenal have made strides in their chase for Denis Suarez on loan this January but Barcelona are reluctant to let go of the midfielder without a promise.

The Catalan giants want a guarantee of a permanent sale of the 25-year-old next summer for as much as £20m.

Sky Sports journalist, Dharmesh Seth explained on Transfer Talk, “They want to do a loan for Barcelona’s Denis Suarez, he’s got 18 months left on his contract. Barcelona, actually, are reluctant sellers but if they were going to do a loan with Arsenal, they would want some sort of guarantee of a permanent deal coming up in the summer.”

“They value him at around £20m and perhaps most significantly and most importantly, Suarez wants Arsenal.”

One of Unai Emery’s most impressive performers in the 2-0 win over Chelsea last weekend was Aaron Ramsey who is set to depart the Emirates next June. Suarez is being lined up to ideally replace the Welshman while also fill in from different positions as required.

When asked about the progress of the deal, Emery simply stated, “The club is working. I cannot speak about individual players, but I know the club is working. I believe they work, I know it is difficult.”
