Brendan Rodgers has given a hint about James Maddison’s transfer future.

The English manager has made it clear that the Foxes won’t be selling any of their players and neither of the players are looking for a King Power Stadium exit.

The Gunners are heavily linked with Maddison as the club is desperate to sign an attacking midfielder this season.

Maddison enjoyed his 2020/21 campaign with the Foxes by scoring 11 goals and making 10 assists across all competitions.

But it seems unlikely that the Foxes will sell any of their prized possessions before the transfer window shuts in over four weeks times.

“In conversations with the club, we don’t have to sell,” Rodgers has said, as cited by the Express.

“That’s something that’s been made clear. The players want to stay.

“It’s a really exciting time at the club.

“There’s lots of gossip and speculation around but I’m loving working with the guys here, they love being here, and we certainly have no need to sell.

“So I would suspect we’re looking to keep our best players.”
