Despite Arsenal widening their lead over Manchester City to eight points at the top of the standings, Gary Neville is adamant that Manchester City will win the Premier League for a third straight year

The Gunners defeated arch rivals Spurs with an easy 2-0 victory on Saturday, capitalising on City’s defeat in the Manchester derby.

On paper, Hugo Lloris’ own goal and Martin Odegaard’s strike separated the two teams, but Arsenal outperformed Antonio Conte’s team at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With 18 Premier League games remaining this season, Arsenal currently has a record of 15 wins, with their lone setback coming in a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United in September.

Neville, speaking to Sky Sports after the game, expressed his optimism that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will surpass the Gunners and embark on one of their legendary winning streaks, despite the fact that they have recovered from that defeat to earn 32 points out of a possible 36.

In addition, Neville remarked of Mikel Arteta, “I know Arsenal fans will abuse me, like they have been doing for the last four months, I hope you win it! ” For young managers to break out of the [Antonio] Conte, [Jurgen] Klopp, [Carlo] Ancelotti, [Pep] Guardiola, and [Jose] Mourinho mould and become one of those elite managers, Mikel Arteta believes it to be extremely tough. They are unbreakable.
